This Colt 1911 was built by Jason Burton and has been my primary working .45.

After 1K's of rounds it has proven to be a truly reliable tool.

That looks great. Can you expound on the decision to go with the stippled front strap, versus serrated or checkered?

I have not held a 1911 with that surface before and was wondering the benefits versus other choices.

Thanks,

WJR

I have the same gun. The serrations i have found to feel much more natural to hold during extended periods than say 30lpi checkering.
