This one just went to the customer who wanted a 357 SIG, 40 S&W combo. His specs were: Low mounted Bo-Mar sights in the rear, .110 front sight with gold line, 40 LPI checkering on the front and back straps, reduced travel trigger job, C&S Type II hammer, and as he's left handed, an extended left hand safety among other items. The barrel for the 357 is by KKM Precision, and it was finished up in a brushed hard-chrome by Terry Wolford.

Sorry about the photo quality, I had a problem with the lighting on this one

I like! Kind of a modern version of the .30 Luger BHP, which I've always thought would be fun. And you gotta love that checkering!

Very nice!

NICE checkering!

Don,
The chrome looks great, do you have Terry Wolfords contact information?

This Hi Power is absolutely stunning. While I don't agree with the owner's choice of Bomar sight, Don, your execution is perfect. This gun belongs in a museum.

Don,

Had her out and she runs as good as it looks. I just love the .357Sig cartridge. Very fast and loud!

Again, beautiful work and just a great artesian to work with.

My best to you,

Don

I'm with CT nice looking BHP. Great work and IMO you just have to finish those in hard chrome. Good stuff.

Don, Thanks for the feedback. Very glad you like it. And thanks for the nice comments from everyone. I have to confess I never cared for the 40 much, but have a weakness for this cartridge. The doggone thing is very accurate, and according to reports from LE agencies that have used it, it's a real serious stopper. Of course, if we hadn't had the 40 we wouldn't have had the 357 Sig, so it seems as though everything worked out OK. :D

Don

That is an outstanding P35, the work is amazing!

I keep coming back to look at the 40PLI checkering, hammer, and levers - WOW!!

Keep up the great builds, Don

Does this use standard 40hp magazines for the 357 Sig rounds?

Hoser, It uses the 40 mags, though I normally have to do a bit of feed lip massaging on them. They will still work with the 40 caliber round though after that. Regards,

Nice HP!
How is 357 to shoot out of the HP vs. the .40? I would imagine that it would be more snappy than even the .40.

To be honest, I don't really notice much difference between the 357 and the 40 rounds out of the HP. Pressures are pretty close as I recall. Obviously the 357 is faster, but the bullet is lighter, so..........???
