hey guys, im proud to show off my 1ST custom 1911 !! it is a highly accurized,customized work of art.
without writing a book, it has

caspian nm govt model slide
caspian frame
9mm kkm "special twist rate" barrel. (i do believe these barrels are only made for dave)
nm bushing
french border slide panels,
snakewood grips,hand made by dave
polished slide flats,
classic slanted slide serrations front and rear.
ball cut spring tunnel.
serrated rear of slide/extractor to match bomar
flushed out front sight with slide.
flat topped/serrated slide
flush cut slide stop wth frame
25 l.p.i hand checkered msh/front strap
greider long trigger
tungsten flgr
ect. ect.

i had this gun built for p.p.c matches. 50YD. ransom rest 1" groups (30 consecutive rd)
its unbelievable. dave builds amazing guns, specializing in bullseye,ppc, ect.

well, here is my sub par attempt at capturing his work. MY photos do not give this gun justice.ill try to post some more soon.

I think these will help. Sorry, Curtis. I just couldn't get down to take a lot myself. Then again, you may have been getting a well-used gun had that been the case.

If those are the 1/32" twist KKM barrels they do indeed SHOOT! Lots of racegunners using those barrels.

KKM barrels do, indeed, shoot very well in 9mm. They are not the 1/32", which do shoot well, but a twist rate made for Dave by Kevin McIntyre (owner of KKM Precision). The barrels were originally made specifically for Dave's Berettas, but now Kevin does them for him as 1911 barrels. Curtis happens to be one of the lucky few who has a 9mm 1911 that Dave built, as I know first hand that they are just silly accurate, low in recoil, and function very well. Dave is one of the few guys I know who LIKES building 9mm 1911s.
