Built this for a customer within the past year; started out as a Springfield MilSpec and was embellished as follows:

Kart match barrel and bushing
Slide/frame refitted and lapped
Wilson beavertail grip safety
McCormick thumb safety
Ed Brown ignition components
Greider trigger
Ejection port lowered & flared
30 LPI hand checkered front strap
40 LPI hand checkered below trigger guard
Slide stop flush cut to frame
S&A mag guide blended by hand
Champion tritium adjustable rear sight
Novak tritium front sight
Front cocking serrations
Entire pistol dehorned by hand
Spegel cocobolo grips
Tripp CobraCoat upper and Hard Chrome lower

Thanks for looking!

Fine looking 1911. And I am not a big fan of two tone guns, but that is an eye catcher

VERY nice and I love two tones :D . I like the attention to detail. What do you think about the Champion rear?

Very nice two tone indeed! Has some extra features I wouldn't necessarily care for but nothing I couldn't along with. Think that gun should make someone very happy! And to the think the Tripp finish might be something of a rarity in future with Tripp getting out of business AGAIN.

Tripp Research isnt going out of business, he is simply not going to offer hard chrome/coating any more. He is concentrating on his magazines and will be offering 1911's with various 'custom packages'. Im sure one option on those 1911's will be Cobra Chrome.

Beautiful job on the Springfield Richard!

Very nice work Richard. I love that checkering. As I mentioned in the matched pair thread, these two tones are really growing on me. It won't be long until I have one in the stable.
