This one just went home to the east coast today. The customer had sent the frame to Chuck Rogers for his golfball treatment on the frontstrap and mainspring housing, then it was sent here to finish.
The frame rails were welded up and refit, and then a Schuemann ramped barrel was added with EGW bushing. The slide was flattened and serrated in the Ghost Arrow pattern, and for something different, we used the Heine rear sight designed for the Kimber adjustable replacement. Add a CMC beavertail, STI hammer with EGW hard sear and a Morris magwell. Finish up with a brush hard chrome and a set of John VZ's G-10 stocks. Hope you like it.

Mr. Williams,
As usual, absolutely beautiful work. You are always the consummate craftsman....... and always the consummate gentleman. As we say here in Missouri: "Don't get no better 'n that."
I hope all is going well for you.
Very best regards,

Outstanding work Don & Chuck--wow!

I have never seen that type of large lettering on the Delta slide, who did that and how?
The slide start out as an M1911-A1 slide? Saw the same roll marks on one on Morris site.
*Real curious*

The brushed hard chrome looks great.

The gun far exceeded all of my expectations! It was a real pleasure working with Don on this build. In regards to the base gun, Colt did a special run for Lew Horton, 250 blued guns and 250 stainless guns using the 1991 frame and slide.

Don, that looks awesome. The ghosted arrows surely do rock. It's been a while since I've seen them, and I'm struck the same way as the first time.....shweet! :D Should be one thrilled customer!

That thing looks like it's going 200 mph just sitting still.

I like the way the magwell appears to counterbalance the rest of the gun.

There is something about a 10mm..... not sure what it is. This one has a lot of it...!

I spent a little more time with Don this last SHOT Show than I have in the past. I / we need to know more about the motorcycle days Don!

Don,

Another sweet one from you. I also really appreciate the top slide serrations. Hopefully everyone appreciates just how much extra work all that interrupted arrow work really is.

Very nicely done.

Best,

Ray

I keep coming back to look at those top of slide serrations. Now that is just plain showing off...in a great way, of course.

Thank you all. Last I talked to William, he had a bunch of ammo stashed and was trying to get some range time.

Ned, nothing much to tell. I haven't had one since about 1985. I rode for about 10-12 years and had about 5 or so bikes in that time. Last one was the original factory GP style "crotch rocket", a 1983 Honda 750 Interceptor. Hell for fast for it's time, though I'd guess that most of the 600 or maybe smaller would run it down now. Nice bike though, fast and the handling, well - wow. Now if I had the money, I'd maybe latch on to a nice 900 Duck.

The brushed hard chrome looks great.
I think that was a Lew Horton special run. I think less than 100 blued and 100 stainless were made. It's basically a 10mm version of the old-rollmark 1991A1. This is a fully tricked out gun (and very cool), but the original base gun looks like a no-frills, stock 1991A1 but with the large letter DELTA 10MM.
