We were able to raise almost $2000 for the raffle on the 2011 kit. Out of less than 300 people that attended the match, I thought ticket sales were pretty good. That makes a little less than $1000 for the Juniors Program. Thank you to everybody that bought a raffle ticket. Next year I should be back at the match to shoot, but more importantly, I should be building another pistol for the Juniors again. I may even do another in the same fashion for the way the Caspian was won. We are thinking about an Open Gun for the raffle next time.

My buddy won the Casper.
(BTW, when you talk to him, let him know that he wants the trigger at 3#, the grip tape on, and would like the grip safety pinned, deactivated, or near-completely desensitized. That way he won't bring it to me in 3 months asking me to get in there and mess up your great work.)
Unfortunatly, I can't pin or deactivate the grip safety for him. I have a shop policy to not remove or disable a safety mechanism for any reason. I understand the concept and idea, but it is a liablility of sorts. I can make it sensitive, but it has to work when it leaves my shop.
I was shooting a stage at the match and in the video, you can see me take aim and pull the trigger but nothing happens - my grip wasn't proper and I had to adjust my grip, so I understand where you are coming from.
His pistol will be ready for transfer in a couple weeks. I'll adjust the trigger pull and install the "Grips" (grip tape) that was supplied with the parts.
Take care and it was great meeting all you shooters in Indiana. I had a blast and for my first match, I didn't come in last, so that had me stoked. I had so many screw ups and I was shooting a single stack in the Open class so I was getting killed with mag changes. Anyhow, take care and thanks again to everybody that contributed to the Juniors Program and everybody that treated me so nice at the match...what a bunch of high class people!
