Sunday was a good day on the range. I ran several hundred rounds of .22 LR through my new Ruger Charger and an older MKII. What made it fun was the "accessory" on the end. My Form 4 cleared last week. It is an AAC Aviator and I can't say enough about how quite it is and what a good product AAC makes.

The Charger is a "project" that is in the works. More to come on it down the road. Using Remington's 38 gr. HP SubSonic and the factory barrel, I managed a five shot group that was just over an inch at 50 yards. I am looking forward to seeing what a Tactical Solutions barrel will do. The Volquartsen trigger breaks at a very clean 2.5 lbs. and the Leupold 2.5 to 8 power extended eye relief scope makes the shots easy.

The AAC Evo-9 belongs to a friend. It is a very good piece of gear as well.

Enjoy the photos and just think about what awaits the next armadillo that decides to tear up my yard!

Makes a man wish he had a stray cat problem. (They produce a better report than armadillos do.)

I target shoot routinely with my suppressed .22's in my backyard... In the middle of the city... :D

I sent the Charger stock off to get it "dipped" in the ACU pattern camo. More pics when it returns.

Nice. I love my AAC Pilot mated to a Tactical Solution upper on my Ruger MkII. It's quiet enough to shoot inside my garage with Remington Subsonic ammo.

Few things are more fun than suppressed .22's, although I really prefer integrals to muzzle cans on .22's. Not a pistol, but my absolute favorite are integral Ruger 77/22's.

The Charger is just about finished. Immersion Graphic dipped the stock in DCU and Tactical Solutions provided a short barrel and extended magazine release.

The kit will fit into my Maxpedition Operator Tactical attache!

The group is shot from 50 yards with Tactical Solutions 12" barrel and CCI Green Tag ammo. Five of the shots is without the can and five are with the can with no change in zero or point of aim. The shorter barrel shot a similar group but experienced significant shift in point of impact when using the AAC Aviator.

Here are a couple of more pics of the Charger with the 12" Tactical Solutions barrel. Notice on the second one the spend brass just forward of the ejection port. This thing is way too much fun. After about 800 rounds or so, I had to break it down for a good cleaning. The more you shoot it, the more you like it :D :D :D

I really like that little Charger... Fortunately I can do that with a stock on mine. :D Here's a pic of my Norrell 10/22 F/A with a cut-down (6.5") bull-bbl. Since these pics were taken I threaded the muzzle 1/2x28 and it has a YHM Phantom flash hider or one of my .22 muzzle cans on it. More fun than you can shake a stick at! It's my favorite MG I own!

Rob, when you started posting here, I thought it was great and I really took a liking to you.

Envy, however, is starting to make it all go sour.....

Ned,

Sorry you feel that way. Maybe we can work the conflicts out at SHOT in Orlando next year.

Hope to see you there. Let me know if you want me to bring anything for "show & tell."

Rob
