I made 3 trips to the LTW booth to talk to Jason about a build....finally on trip #3 Jason WASN'T at lunch, LOL. Jason is a great guy, personable, knowledgable and talented way beyond his years. After about 20 minutes of discussion we seemed to be on the same page in terms of what I want and what he believes is do-able for my build. He brought up some great points and offered up several practical options (look for the pistol to ship to you sometime in the next week Jason).

I also had the pleasure of a few minutes of conversation with John Harrison, C.T. "Tim" Brian and Ted Yost. These are a great group of guys and their pistols truly are works of art. I got to fondle and drool over several of the pieces there and you really can't appreciate them in pics, they must be seen and handled. Tim's matched set was just amazing, literally the only way to tell them apart was by the last digit of the serial number. They are not just craftsmen, they are artists.

We certainly appreciate your interest in what we do and in LTW and it was my pleasure to meet you sir. I very much look forward to beating, scratching, and banging away on your gun... umm, err, I mean our project.

Look forward to hearing from you. :)

Did you guys get a better location than that broom closet of last year?

They were actually in a good spot, at least I think so, booth #151....the very first row. Now the downside to their location is that they were 87 rows away from my companies booth all the way up at 8889, it was like a ten minute hike to get there.

I made a wide birth around that one.

It was great to see the LTW guys again and to remind Ned that if he ever gets a yen to make a proper rear sight for a Detonics, I will gladly lend him mine and some cash for him to experiment on.

Those Shilohs were really something. I talked with them a bit and they do every dang thing there- they make their own barrels on an old machine from a wartime .50 BMG plant, they have a foundry and do their own casting..... color casing..... real craftsmanship there.

I went next door and had a very nice chat with Ed Brown. There are certain things about this business that a small shop might take decades to learn, he's always been generous about helping me skip some of the hard knocks.

We had some good traffic, even a couple traffic jams. Thanks to all who stopped by for your support.

Yeah. Me too. I was in the 8800 LE section. These two booths couldn't farther apart. No BS. 10 minute walk. Easy.
