Ok guys,

I've been MIA for a while. I hope this makes up for the absence. The suppressor is the new Ti-Rant from AAC. It is the next generation of the Evolution series of cans. It is super quiet with sub-sonic ammo. It was quiet enough that I demoed it for my photographer in his studio by firing into some old magazines. It was no louder than if you took a yard stick and slapped the counter. Maybe even quieter.

Dave and the gang at the SA Custom Shop took a stock 4" Service Model and fitted a threaded 5" barrel. While they were at it, they did a trigger job with an over travel stop and installed Heinie Straight Eight tritium sights.

To say this is fun is an understatement. The fat hands belong to Oz. He was down from DC for a visit and had a go with the new toys at the range. Look for an article soon in one of the Harris Publications.

For those who follow the suppressor market, Silencerco just introduced the .45 Osprey which is a square can that allows the use of the standard sights. I should one in a couple of weeks. I will let you guess what the host pistols will be. Stay tuned.

For more information on both cans, take a look at their site.

Enjoy the pics.

Rob- I agree. I had a Ti-Rant9 here for a brief while last month, and hated to send it back. AAC has their ASAP system dialed in, and it was a ton of fun to shoot. I have a stack of MSC catalogs just waiting for my TiRant45..

I am anxious to hear more about the Osprey. A quick Google search shows some impressive numbers if they are accurate.

Best,
Dave

Man that is AWESOME! The XD is my favorite non-1911 .45! With a suppressor it looks awesome. I'd love to live in a state that allows them!

Hey Jason,

The cat got your tongue?

You normally have some wise words on stuff like this. Hope all is well.

Hi Ned,

I only use the Ti-Rant with the booster. Given the manner in which it is contructed, you can attach it without using the ASAP.

As far as where you live, that can be changed. Come on down to God & Gun country! There is more cool stuff to come over the next couple of months. Stay tuned.

Rob
