John Harrison did an upgrade to this pistol for me. He went above and beyond the call of duty on this puppy. He did it his way and the wait was worth it. Thank you very much John for those little touches.
Enjoy the pics. This will be on my side and get a lot of range time.

Very nice. The antique medallions in the grips and the rampant pony on the slide are classy touches. Congratulations.

Most of the replacement barrel bushings for the Officers ACP have a fairly thick flange and when Colt sized the length of the factory barrel, they used a pretty thin flange and a shorter tube to match. The after market barrel makers followed suit with the same length. So, if you use an after market barrel bushing with a stock Colt, or after market barrel, the barrel usually sits way back below flush with the bushing. The result looks like a poorly thought out parts mismatch in what would otherwise be a nice custom pistol. I contacted all of the barrel makers that I do business with looking for one who would make me an Officers ACP barrel about .125" longer than stock Colt. I finally got in touch with the right guy at Storm Lake and made a plan with them. This let me get the finished barrel with deep dish crown to be flush with the barrel bushing flange. The rest of the front end meanness came from an EGW flat wire recoil spring, reverse plug and guide rod.

Some more pics of Johns work. John called me and said do you want the pistol I am done, except if you want the custom barrrel you will have to wait a long time for the barrel. There was one long wait for them to make the barrel, well worth it.
