I am fairly new to the forum, but not new to shooting or the 1911. I recently was able to begin collecting what I consider to be fine custom 1911's. My first is the subject of this post. It is a Springfield Armory Custom Carry built by Dave Williams and the crew from the Custom Shop at Springfield Armory. While this is not technically a full house build, I beleive it to be a very fine gun and I am very proud to own it. I also have a custom 1911 being built by Steve Morrison of MARS Armament which I hope to receive in four to five months. Some of the build specs on this gun include 10-8 rear sight, 10-8 slide stop, 25 lpi checkering, flush cut and crowned muzzle and a spare fitted Wilson bullet proof extractor. As this is going to be my primary off duty carry gun, my focus with this build was to make sure the gun had quality internals which would make for a fairly harde use firearm. My photo skills are weak compared to some here, so be kind :)

Thanks for the comments guys. Went to the range the other day and ran a few hundred rounds through it with no problems. A few hundred more and it will find it's way into my off duty holster full time.
