This build is on a well-used 1976 vintage Colt. I do a few suppressor host pistols from time to time, but this is the first two-tone host I've been asked to do. A special thanks to Chuck Rogers for supplying his Tier One rear sight in a "tall" variant for me. This pistol is also a bit of a first for me in another aspect. I welded the magwell and slide/frame fit myself. I can't hold anyone else responsible for the outcome of those areas any longer - the success (or failure) is all mine. An IonBonded slide, hard chromed frame, and F-22 Raptor carbon fiber stocks finish it off.

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures - I was in a hurry to get them snapped, and then off to FedEx to send it home. My photos normally have a fair amount of fingerprints, smudges, and lint. These have all that, and a few stray snow flakes for good measure.

What's going on with the mag release? Is it just the pic angle or has something special been done to it?

No need to be ashamed of the Magwell...as nice as I've seen. Good job on the whole pistol!

Dave,
That magwell installation is excellent. Amazing how you continue to improve on excellence!

Very nicely done Dave... there is something very cool about two-tone guns and this one is cool and quiet.
