A client sent this one in for a few odds and ends, but before it was over, it wound up getting the full treatment. The finish is matte IonBond DLC on top with electroless nickel on the frame assembly. It received a number of cool features, but to mention one that you may not spot at first, I had a barrel made to spec by Storm Lake that has enough extra length to make it flush up to the end of the bushing, instead of sitting .100" back like the majority do. Enjoy the pics!

MMMMMmmmmmm! Tastey! Lots of little details. I like the new variation on the arrow pattern (round top). Is that a lightweight or steel frame?

Beautiful piece.

Could it be the vintage medallions?

Or the pony rollmark on the driver side of the slide behind the cocking serrations?

I saw that, but it didn't occurr to me that Colt didn't do that anymore.

Very well done OACP! Wow the details...every one is beautiful and well executed, as always!
I like the Nickel finish, and the flush cut barrel looks very clean too!

I know Colt will stamp the 'Rampant Pony' on the slide for $35, I recently saw a M1991-A1 slide that got the Pony! :)

Very nice looking pistol. I believe this could be my new favorite Officers.
I very much like the rear sight bead.

Outstanding John, you sure do know how to take it up a notch and more. Great presentation for an Officers ACP.

There is nothing like cool features done by John and the other LTW's crew. Nothing like a 1911 with full treatment.

I hope to touch this today, and a few other gems from the LTW Booth.

I hear it has been a madhouse at the booth, not surprised considering what sits in the cases.

Hi BBBBill,

That's a steel framed 1991 pistol. Thanks for your input on the new slide serrations. I'm going to offer option that on all of my pistols getting serrated slide tops from here out. Leaving the pattern stopped short of the ejection port is a clean extra touch that catches my eye.

Thanks guys, I had JR French add the Prancing Pony for a little extra bling.
