This Kimber is a MKI compact with an alloy frame that my customer wanted to modify a bit. He was satisfied with the accuracy of the gun as it was (very good), so after some deliberation, some sight, cosmetic and ergonomic issues were addressed. Mike wanted a different sight system, and decided he wanted to go with the 10-8 rear sight with tritium bar, and a tritium front with white ring for good daylight speed. The slide was flattened and serrated in the Ghost Arrow pattern in order to give it the look he wanted, and a taller front sight for quicker aquisition. The front strap was checkered at 25 LPI, and he liked the look of the magwell used on the Nighthawk T3. Once we checked the price for that part, I order and modified an alloy S&A magwell, and serrated it and shaped it per his request. Hi-Power cuts on the slide, a new fire control system with a new beavertail and safety and a finish using hard anodizing and Ionbond DLC were applied to finish. I think most everybody knows that my camera and photographic skills aren't as good as most here, so I apologize for the quality of the photos.

Very nice. I have always liked the Kimber Compacts. Kind of a poor mans Wilson CQB compact.

Outstanding job on this Kimber, Don!

The details and workmanship are amazing! The P35 cuts and magwell profile really give
this pistol a unique look. The way you shaped the S&A Magwell is beautiful, as are your
signature Ghost Arrow serrations.

Very well done, Sir!

After seeing this, Im glad I put the Ghost Arrow Serrations/IonBond on my P35 build sheet...Wow!! ;)

Your pictures are miles ahead of what I could do

Hey Don that looks great even with you running the shutter

I must admit that Kimbers in my experience have had quite an edge in accuracy if we're talking out of the box.

That top arrow pattern is something I'll always wish I had come up with-- I love it.

Don, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into this project, the time you spent on the phone with me discussing parts and modifications and for the finished product that looks as good as it shoots. This Kimber is everything I ever wanted in a Carry Gun so Thank You for making it happen.
Take care, Mike.
Oh and Stan wanted me to tell you that when you finish his Hi-Power, you can ship it to me testing and long term storage :D
