Good grief, that is one helluva Officers for some lucky Gentleman.

I absolutely love that barrel bushing, barrel & spring-plug combo. Does that spring-plug slot serve some function other than aesthetics?

Absolutely gorgeous, Mr. Brian.

CT that is a gorgeous Officer's Model - wow!

I love the semi-square treatment you gave the grip safety, all the details are very well thought out end executed.

Well done Sir!

It's functional. The the recoil spring plug on an Officer's model locks into place and must be rotated to be removed.

Everything on this forum is beautiful but this pistol from an end user’s point of view is absolutely outstanding!

Just ridiculously PERFECT in every way! I love the polished bevel on the slide stop and mag release.

That's what I like....a Gun Smith that ALWAYS outdoes himself (of course that really applies to all of the LTW Masters).

Very well done.

A beautiful piece of art. The blending of the bushing with the slide is amazing.

Typical CT work, crisp, clean, and wonderfully executed. Nice work Tim. See you in a month!

I don't get the rationale behind the "50%" checkering...? otherwise a very worthy custom Colt from one of America's Masters

I don't get the rationale behind the "50%" checkering...?

I spent a year carrying and using the new Hybrid Checkering on my personal carry gun before ever offering it to clients. My wife also spent that year testing this same experimental treatment on her concealed carry piece.

As we all know, normal checkering can sometimes have a propensity to snag on certain types of clothing, so the idea here was to keep the edges clean, allowing for no clothing snags or catches and a nice smooth draw from concealment. The hand follows the horizontal grooves without so much as the smallest amount of drag, then when you make the grasp, your gun locks in just like on traditional checkering.

It's definitely different. The ergonomics of this design have far exceeded my hopes and expectations. Personally, I think it looks good too.

Gorgeous, classic CT Brian. The checkering looks, and feels, fantastic...I can say that as I've had it in my mitts. :D

This is the kind of craftsmanship that sets the elite apart from the rest.

Having had the pleasure to hold Tim's set from last year's SHOT show (which had the same kind of checkering), I can tell you that it feels as good as it looks (which I think is pretty darn good). The center checkering is plenty abrasive when you squeeze and the horizontal serrations let your hand slide on and off comfortably.
When I first saw pictures of this style I also wondered why it was better than full checkering. It only took a moment with it in my hand for me to understand!

I came back today to have another gander at this little brute. It is, without question the most handsome
Officer's model I've ever seen!
