Several months ago I shipped a Colt 1991A1 Compact Model to Dave Erickson at Condition One. Now my original plan for this pistol was just to tune it a little for everyday carry, toss around in the truck etc. The idea was to knock off the sharp edges, new sights, clean up the trigger and maybe repark.......yeah right. I gave Dave license to look it over and if he thought something needed to be replaced, grinded on or welded, I would defer to his judgement. Many emails and phone calls back and forth and we eventually came up with a pistol that fits all the previously listed needs, plus kind of commemorates my police career and will be cool to pass on to my son one day.

Dave is great to work with, outstanding workmanship and fabulous communication. I am betting he cringes when my name comes up on the caller ID, LOL. After the pistol was delivered Dave shot me a call to get my feedback. A real pro.

Thanks again Dave!

That's a helluva tune up. Can only imagine what a full custom build would look like. Very Nice.

Very nice. I like the contrast of the barrel crown polish.

I had to attend a wedding on Saturday afternoon, so I felt that it was necessary to dress up the pistol a little with some genuine ivory grips. Of course, that also meant properly accessorizing so my everyday folder was replaced with a M.O.D. Ayoob Razorback on which the aluminum handle was replaced with genuine ivory.

There is no pistol that is so beautiful that ivory won't make it better.
