This is a gun I did for this years SHOT Show. Built on a NRM '70 Series Colt Government model, it has a welded up frame to slide fit, Legacy magwell and mainspring housing, which was checkered at 25 LPI along with the hi-cut frontstrap. A Kart NM barrel and EGW bushing were fitted, along with a CMC beavertail and new EGW barstock thumb safety. SDM sights with the notch opened up to .140, flattened and serrated slide and an oversize EGW ejector fitted with minimum clearance to the slide. The rear of the slide was serrated at 40 LPI to blend into the sight and wide French cuts were added. A Harrison trigger to work the modified STI hammer and EGW sear complete the fire contol system. Add in a slightly extended mag catch, which was reprofiled and checkered at 40 LPI, and a C&S forged slide stop (which has been replaced with one that turned black) and a set of Esmereldas Cocobolo grips and we're done. This gun is now for sale in the For Sale section.

The slide release pin treatment is really cool. I like the look of this pistol.

Don, that is beautiful. And +1 to the California lament (the Colt isn't "on the list" here)...

That one says it all for me, Don. Absolutely beautiful piece of iron. I wish I could make it mine.

I was very fortunate to hold this awesome firearm. The finish is more amazing in person.
This is why I have come to you for past, present and future projects. You do amazing work.
