WHOA!! What a beauty. I really like the angled front end treatment. It changes the whole look. Again, WHOA!!

Wow… that machine work is simply amazing! The golf ball patterns on the straps for enhancing grip and on the top and rear surfaces for breaking up light is just fantastic. That’s great work, Chuck.

And rather than calling “Range is hot!” prior to opening fire with such a classy weapon, it may be more appropriate to yell “FORE!” :)

Well, I got off of the phone with Chuck a few minutes ago and I am going to be the proud "Papa" of this one. I have heard from others who try to beat you down by saying only "high rollers" buy this when I retail custom firearms. Well, about 95% of my clients work their darn rear ends off, save, scrimp and take care of their family and responsibilities first and then go for something of value to them like a one of a kind firearm made for them.

They do not need any of the stimulus plan.

I know my extra job, any real street LEO knows what I mean by "extra" job, for 2 days a month for about 18 months paid for this. My retail business did not. Not enough margin. The business is a real pleasure to see the craftsmanship pass through. Going to Shot and meeting the men behind the work is worth it. Seeing the incredible display of work is also worth it.

My next one is about 3 or 4 years out from another craftsmen.

You cannot understand how happy I was to have the opportunity to own one of Chuck's guns and this one will have about a case or two out of it in the short run. The few select pieces I keep are not safe queens. Those steel targets in the back yard get a work out when I need stress reduction.

Thanks again.

Hi everybody, my first post.
How do they get that golf ball texture on the pistol, it's even on the extractor. Is it molded.

It is machined by Chuck Rogers. It's his proprietary texture. Definitely not molded. Look at all the posts by Chuck showing his work, it's simply amazing.

First and foremost, I want to thank person who made this possible. Thank you for the opportunity to get this.

Second. Likes it is polite. I really really like it. It is more than nice. There are countless small touches one does not see in the pictures. Just to name a few for example, a touch higher cut under the trigger guard. The fit of the grip over the ambi safety. Notice the pin for the stop on the right side of the ambi. How many times have shooter had that extra thousandth or two on the right side ambi and pushed the safety back in. There is not a corner that has not had the edge broken, even the bevel on the lower part of the slide. Deep scallolp of the rear sight allows the notch to be shaded or stay darker as my 58 year old eyes need all the help for those 25 and beyond shots. Most if not all shooters up close are flash sight or front sight press mode for the serious social occasion.

Speaking of shooting. I got the gun Friday after work. Had to go to the shipper's as I missed delivery as my wife had an am doctor. Had to go to my second job, any LEOs out there know what I mean, which paid for this. Got home 45 minutes before dark and went to the back yard range. :D I have a coffee can full of mixed bullets. You know the ones that you get in trade in broken boxes that seller's add with the gun they want you to sell. There was only about 200 mixed rounds ranging from my old reloads to Hydrashock to White box, to other "crud" ammo to personal defense premium loads. Well, all went down range. And as expected accuracy with any magazine of matching bullets was great. On mag of white box at 50 yards, REMEMBER my eyes ain't what they used to be, hit the Man size steel target all in the torso. The mixed mags all functioned with no issues, soft loads to a plus p or two in the mags, and the rest went from 15 to 25 yards. Aimed shots all delivered where sent, A few operator whoops from a full house load to a target load then a plus p load. The round hit the steel but I sure pulled the shot expecting a different recoil pulse. Gun had no issue. Just operator. Had a blast. Even got to shoot a mag or three dusk and just before dark. The green front and yellow rear allowed the metal clang on the 8inch poppers to ring shot after shot from 15 to 25 yards.

I was very surprised I could shoot this one weak handed with much more control without any practice than any other guns. I usually have to get used to it. Something about the ergonomics, maybe the higher cut under the trigger guard or touch higher on beavertail or whatever but I actually hit well up to 15 yards without working at it. For me, weak hand at any range and one handed beyond 15 I have to work at it.

Now later today, there will be some more rounds down range and these will be not mixed but matched loads. Got about 8 boxes before my wife and I have to pack for Tulsa and enjoy the day off, and Easter.

By the way, if any of you are going to the Tulsa Show, I will have the gun for "bragging rights" if you want to stop by and see it. Email, as I will not have access to PM and I will send you my mobile phone number.

Thanks again the person who made this possible for the opportunity and Chuck for the care and professionalism that goes into making this gun.

Oh, very cool! It couldn't have ended up in better hands.

I've looked at the pics now about eight times and keep noticing details. Nice work, Chuck!
