Here are the pics that some have been waiting to see. Let me start by saying the Joe is one of the best young pistol smith’s in the country. His customer service is second to none and he goes above and beyond to make a great finished product. During the build he makes you feel like a friend, not a client. He gives you regular updates about the gun and may even send you some in the process pics. You will not find this anywhere else.

One thing that I think makes Joe stand out is that he builds his business on three things….accuracy, reliability, and beauty. Well as you can see by the test target this gun is super accurate. Joe is one of the few smiths’ that guarantees less then 1.5” at 50 yards and sends a 10 shot test target to prove it. He also ran 500 rounds of all kinds of ammo through my gun before sending it out to make sure it is 100% reliable. I will let the pictures do the talking for the overall appearance and you can tell me if it’s beautiful or not….I’m biased anyway. Overall the gun came out great and will make an awesome duty gun. This will NOT be a safe queen and will be used on a daily basis.

So Thank you Joe for going above and beyond on this pistol and you will definitely have a customer and friend for life.

Here are the build specs:

Springfield TRP Operator full rail base gun (the only things left are the frame, slide, and 3 grip screw bushings.)
Kart .45 barrel with Chambers tapered sleeve cone and custom link. 1.5" at 50yrds guarantee
Custom reverse plug (standard GI guide rod)
Custom gold dot front and Deep Pocket(TM) Fixed rear sight
Cylinder and Slide Super match trigger kit and hammer strut. Trigger set at 3.75lbs
SVI trigger with flat insert
Wilson Combat bulletproof grip safety
EGW ejector, extractor, plunger tube and thumb safety
Chambers/Greider magcatch and slide stop
Chen weld on magwell and mainspring housing hand checkered at 20LPI with lanyard loop
10-8 signature grips

I'm sure I've forgotten a few things but on to the pics!

Spectacular. This is one of the best executed Springfields I've ever seen. I like every gun you make, Mr. Chambers, more than the last.

I am glad that you are happy with your business with Mr. Chambers, and satisfied with his work on your pistol. Congratulations, and your satisfaction is all that matters.

Other gunsmiths may or may not send pictures of in-progress work. Some gunsmiths may or may not guarantee group sizes at 50 yards. Second-to-none customer service? May I ask how many other custom gun builders you have dealings with? This is a custom gun forum, and you can't compare the level of customer service from Wal Mart to that of a one-man pistol shop. LTW is the stomping grounds of some of the best craftsmen and businessmen in the industry. At the level of work regularly displayed here, impeccable business dealings are a given. Claiming that Mr. Chambers exceeds those standards is flamboyant. If you wish to make those claims in this arena, you may need to back them up.

Five hundred rounds? Who paid for that - you or Mr. Chambers? As a consumer, I would not pay a smith a couple hundred dollars for his day of shooting.

Enjoy your pistol. Stick around and enjoy the forum.

Hielo,

I think you would be better off not posting anything because your post is nothing short of aggravating. I've had two other custom builds and many dealings with very respected smiths....I think I've got a good grasp of what to expect during a custom build. I've also been on this sight for quite awhile and have seen the level of quality that these gunsmiths' provide. Never in my post did I imply that Joe is better than anyone here at this site. I will say in confidence that Joe is among the ranks and his work shows that. My original post was to showcase what kind of professional Joe is and what level of work and communication you will get when you send a pistol to his shop.

If you don't want to pay a gunsmith the money to shoot 500 rounds through your pistol that is your option. I carry this gun on the job and if there was going to be a malfunction I would rather it occur while it is still there with Joe. He test all of his hard use guns in this fashion to make sure it goes bang when you (I) need it. A few extra dollars spent to ensure zero problems is well worth MY money.
