... oh nothing but this engraved gun... 8)

About once or twice a year we get a customer that wants something very special and truly unique and this gun is one that Ted recently finished for such an occasion. Using a Caspian frame and slide the gun is a Signature Grade conversion with engraving by JR French and French-fit case that was custom fit by Ted to present the gun.

Special and unique... what more can I say? Enjoy the pictures! :D

That is very nice, my only hope is that it is shot and/or carried occasionally. It would be a waste for that to sit in a safe only to be brought out and looked at.

I'm a believer in not having safe queens, but I don't think I could ever subject that one to the rigors of daily use.

The only thing it needs is an area in the case for eight silver bullets.

JR and Ted...always a stunning combination. That has to be one of the finest Caspian builds on the entire planet. Bravo!

I haven't posted here on LTW in quite some time. Honestly, I thought I had seen it all and had all but lost interest in another 1911. I had a gun built 5 years ago for my employer, and I considered it the best I had seen in a custom, engraved 1911. This gun changed all that.

Mr. French's engraving is superb, but I really like the fact that such attention was paid to a gun built on a raw Caspian frame and slide instead of a "rebuilt" Colt. The engraving, fit, and finish speak for themselves. Rollmarks of any sort would only detract from the overall appearance. I see nothing I would want different were it my own.

Ted, that is, without a doubt, the finest 1911 I have ever seen, bar none.

Outstanding.

GOD Bless.

WOW! Now all you need is to match it up with a Stingray or Alligator belt and holster.
