Incredible work - especially the new cuts, which got me thinking...

As a purveyor of both high-end audio, and custom firearms, and given Mr. Rogers' predilection towards golf-ball cuts, I had an odd thought...

I wonder if there's a way to take design cues from high-end audio and incorporate them into a firearm...

To that end, I'd like to pose the following question to Mr. Rogers. Would it possible to have a slide that is free of any serrations, etc. and in lieu of a smooth, flat finish, incorporate the design cues from Resolution Audio's new product (picture below)?

Just curious if this is within the realm of possibility, especially since the "scalloped" surface of the slide would provide more than enough positive grip to pull the slide back.

Thanks,
-Ken

I had Mr. Rogers Golf-Ball a Kimber 38 super and I have got nothing but great responses from people who have handled it. In fact I Cerakoted it in the black for top end and blue titainium on the frame because of Mr. Rogers work.

Brian,

Wow, I'd love to see it. Can you post any pix? I'd still be interested in finding out if Mr. Rogers could do the scallops like the ones shown on my previous post as well!

Thanks,
-Ken

As soon as i get it finished i will post it. When i got it back from Mr. Rogers it was definitely a good day in my neighborhood. Mr. Rogers and I call him that because he is a true craftsman at his trade was very nice to work with and again a top notch job. You may want to send him an email to see if he is taking work.

Hey,

I always enjoy seeing your stuff. Great looking Springer.

I also went to your site and checked out some of your past stuff and that Bobtail Colt Commander that you customized is just awesome. It looks like it would be darn near the perfect packing 1911. What a beauty.

The folders you use in your pics, are they all Al Mar knives? The one with the Colt Commander is an auto and looks great with the finish and golfball treatment to match the Commander. Al Mar too?

Keep 'em coming.

Almost the perfect carry 1911. Bob the tail on it and it's perfect!! Not saying I wouldn't take that one, just have found the bobtail finishes one for me. Love the new cut too!! Imagination and creativity abound at your shop!!

Beautiful gun!

Question on the "low ride" thumb safety -- I have one of these on a old Yost-Bonitz build, I was wondering if these "low ride" safeties are always pure custom fabrications or if someone makes a part to start with?
