I kinda feel silly posting this here, but when I started this I kinda firgured the worst that could happen is that I send the box off to Ted and ask him pretty please to let Colton fix it. Thankfully, that doesn't need to happen.
When I sent Ted my Milspec back in June I got bored. That's a dangerous thing. I started reading. I started searching the web. I started paying attention to things I saw here.
The result are VERY mild upgrades to a Springfield GI.
What I did:
Ed Brown slide stop
Ed Brown extractor
Ed Brown firing pin and stop
Fitted a new MSH
EMC wide spur hammer slightly bobbed so it won't bite me
Real steel thumb safety
Kings bushing (I really like how it protects the barrel crown)
Kings #104 front sight
Yost retro rear sight
Greider medium length trigger
VZ canvas grips
Thin grip screws and bushings
Wolff Spring Kit
Wilsons sear spring
I was only able to shoot at 50' today, but it's dead on and 100% reliable after 500 rounds.
Here are some pics. The Catapillar machines in the background are for scale. It really is that big.
I really had fun with this. I know it's mild and not involved, but I'm pleased with the results.
