Turned out nice and is begging for a light hanging off... Dig the look of the grip texture...looks grippy

The grip treatment looks like Anti Neds or negative conymids. They would be dentymids.

Awesome pistol.

Thank you for not bobbing the grip... I've begun to really hate that look and quite frankly, I HATE the feel.

I really don't understand how this has become so popular, but then again, I really need an arched MSH to make my 1911's fit me. Can I be the last one?

I agree this is an outstanding example of the art. I also agree with Blackdog714 that overly done "bob-jobs" take from the aesthetic beauty of the 1911-type pistols. They are butt ugly! (Pun intended) I would pay $500 extra NOT to have it on a custom! Lol. And I think there is no practical value either. In fact it helps very little for concealment when you think about the angle that the pistol usually sits in a strong side carry mode. The opposite end of the butt (magazine lip end) actually sticks out more when concealed under a lightweight shirt and/or bending over. I have carried concealed since 1970 and carried in harms way for many, many years in a variety of venues. Of course the caveat that I write this with is: IMHO. 8)
