This Colt is a little different than many I do, for one, it's a 10mm Delta Elite, also the gun being all Stainless is finished in Black PVD over Hardchrome. The Slide had such nicely machined Stirrup cuts (rare to find on most old Colts I work on) and they lined up to the frame so nice I did not even add Ball Cuts. Then not-quite-flush barrel crown may be my favorite part, that is right after the forged square and checkered Trigger guard. Shown in Dress (SK Mammoth Ivory) and work (Ebony Wood caliber) grips.

Drop dead gorgeous! It's all great, but I'm especially lovin' the old school large hole Commander hammer.

Really, really nice, Karl.

If I may ask, did this get a frame/slide weldup and refit? I don't think I've see a Delta that couldn't benefit from it..... now I'm not one who thinks every single gun needs it. But-- there seems to be a recoil mitigation benefit to a no-slop slide to frame fit and recoil mitigation is something the 10mm 1911 can benefit from!

You bet, this being a fairly recent production Delta ( 2008ish?) it was a far better gun to start with than the Delta's of the 80s-90s, but yes it did get a some TIG lovin. Gun is not bad to shoot with average ball ammo, 180 gr at 12-1250FPS, it is kind of obnoxious to shoot the 135 JHP from Underwood at 1600 FPS though haha.
