and a .22lr conversion for it. She'll be carrying a Sig P938 after she's mastered it. But first the 22 unit, then the 9mm 1911, then the .45. Can anyone tell me if the RIA parts are fully usable, or are they too soft, not reliably dimenstioned, etc?

That will be a hard question to answer because I suspect many smiths are like me and have not worked on RIA's. I've only seen a few and did not come away super impressed but a lot of people seem to think they're OK. As to hardness and durability-- I just don't know.

I bought one, fired 20 rounds and could not find the fro t site. just an empty hole.
