On a recent trip to SD to help, um, wildlife management, I visited an old pal and PPC shooter who has one of the few PPC revolvers I’ve done. This one is from quite a while ago--- the top rail and front sight wings are machined right out of the barrel blank itself.

Love it! Very unique. Dig those old school Davis grips, too.

Yes, you don't see those grips much these days and it kinda dates the gun dun't it ?

I shot PPC several times some years back, mainly to check the box and as a step on the path to being a well-rounded shooter-- it's not action packed but there is a lot to learn. And PPC matches seem to typically have very well-loaded prize tables.

Made me think of some of the more radical PPC revos that used to appear in Handgunner like the one that Ichiro Nagata shot. Reminded me of a ray gun from an old Buck Rogers movie with the big conical disk on the end of the barrel.

What is the trigger pull weight on this one? Any issues balancing the mainspring vs the lightened hammer for reliable ignition?
