I thought that I would share a few photos of my newest acquisition. This was my birthday present to myself last week.

I had one of these guns, back in the early nineties except in stainless. Like a dummy, I sold it in 95 prior to going to Mexico and have regretted it ever since. I never have been a big revolver fan except in the case of that gun. It shot great.

This one was part of a special run for Lew Horton, that was based on a 3” model 19 or 66 with a full lug barrel, carry comp, tritium front dovetailed sight, chamfered cylinder, round butt with rubber Spegels/Uncle Mike’s, smooth trigger, overtravel stop, and action jobs.

Of course, the Spegel Cocobolo grips (BTS+) don’t hurt the looks either. I got those from Lightning Arms.

What do you think?

P.S.: 230FMJ - You are the guilty cause of me getting this revolver.
:D

Mr Harms,
I agree sir. Yours is the K-Comp. The one revolver I will never sell is the same F-Comp. It has the best action of any revolver I have ever owned. The most accurate also. I gravitate towards Hogue Bantams though.

Al,

Very nice one also.

What is the difference between the K comp and the F comp?

Ray

Ray-

I think that's a keeper!

Al-

Nice one, friend. I still like your/my/our M13, though. :)

K-Comp was blue, F-Comp was stainless. Same gun, just, K frame. The first Lew Horton guns had the small roll markings, tritium front sight. The recent F-Comps were a production PC gun that were large roll marked, no front night sight and had the locks. They are not nearly as nicely made as the older ones we have.

Ray,

Looks to me like you did very well. No charge to the put the revolver hook in your mouth!

Good luck with the addiction. Betty Ford has not found a cure yet.

Ray: That K Comp melts my "ole revolver lovin" heart. Anyone who wants to learn the discipline of the round gun could go anywhere in the civilized world and feel well armed.

Beautiful piece and a great carry gun. I think a lot of the Carry Comps really didn't catch on as they were too far ahead of their time.

Notice that almost all great fighting revolvers bear a strong resemblence to a Merwin & Hulbert Pocket Model?

God bless and enjoy.
