Well this seems to be the best place for this post since it is about my trip to see the famous shop of holster maker Lou Alessi in Buffalo. I spent two days with him and he must have connections we don't know about because he arranged for the weather to be about 20 degrees above normal and sunny.
Capt. Jim Tighe drove up from Pa. and all I can say is it was a fantastic two days. To meet one Jim whom I consider an American hero and Lou who I have conversed with for years on the phone and is one of the nicest guys I know was a great pleasure and I feel honored.
My life could not be any richer than it is right now having friends that I made throught LTW.
Here are some pics.

Albert, I can't tell you how thrilled, and honored I was to finally get to meet you in person after all these years, and having Capt. Tighe come up to join the party was the icing on the cake.

I must say, I've met a many people in this industry, and made a lot of good friendships, but it goes without saying that the people on this forum are the 'best of the best'.

We were having such a good time, we forgot to measure you for your LTW thong!

You need to make this a yearly visit my friend..
Lou

What a crew!!! This is a photo of three caring, giving, selfless Gentlemen. (I used the capital "G" intentionally because to me it's more than an adjective, it's a title)

Jim - Got my pics. Thanks.

Al - How come you didn't post the picture you didn't want your wife to see?

... and Uncle Lou - Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Pachyderm, in my mind, immediately reminds me of peanuts. Incoming! :D

Chip

Chip, my friend you answered your own question. My dinner companion was Lou's daughter and in the interest of decorum and having every other mans head turn my way in jealousy I will leave the image where belongs, in my memory! 8)

Lou,
Jim called yesterday and said the thong is chaffing. What should he do?

The same thing you do when you get a new holster. Slip into a thick plastic bag and wear the thong over that fro about 24 hours. That should stretch it out just enough so that it fits perfect.

His thong is chaffing? Oh, no.. He better find someone else who's a little bigger than him to wear it for a week.. That should stretch it out.
Be careful though, he could wind up with a yeast infection!

Al,
Come on you are getting a bit on the old side because your hearing is going. I called and said that the thong was chaffing because it was yours and way to small in the front and too big in the back. I only figured out it was yours when I saw ALBERT embossed on the waist band.

Jim

Steve,
I have to say that it was one of the most comfortable get togethers I have ever been too....Great folks (Lou, Al, Ida, Alexandra, Poppy, Mary Lou and Skip)...

Al,
You stick with that story and I'm sure Mary Lou will see to it that your next order ends up somewhere SPECIAL...your going to hurt her feelings after that measuring she endured for your outfit...I mailed it out to you yesterday...but please no photos of you wearing it please.
