Gentlemen-

My Chief needs a duty holster for a Sig P232. Needs to have thumb break and basketweave, black. Anybody know where he can obtain such a creature?

Thanks a bunch-

Chip

Chip,
By "duty-holster" do you mean the typical drop-shank 2 1/4" belt-slot duty rig, or just a thumb-break basket-weave OWB holster. If the latter is O.K., DeSantis Holsters offer most of their belt holster line in black basketweave. He should be able to get a thumb-break pancake style from them pretty quickly.

Chip,

This may be out of line, but a 232 just seems like a very strange "duty" gun.

Mark-

I think the DeSantis will do the trick. Thank you, sir.

Jim-

What we have is a weight issue. He has had a troublesome back for some time and when it flares up, the full blown duty belt with all of its modern day accoutrements causes a lot of discomfort by the end of an 8 hour shift. So he's going for just a couple of basic items on a trouser belt for those "troublesome days" He liked the P232 at 16 oz. And he only has to fight his way back to the AR in his vehicle :D

Then there are the formal events when the dress blouse is required. The flat P232 should work well in an IWB for that "no unsightly bulge" look. Hmmmm, maybe I should start a new career as a fashion consultant

I'm thinking the "Kramer Puffy Shirt" and a Tuckable holster, pleated with bell bottom pants.

Seriously, Tell Steve I said hello and hope his back gets better.
