Here is the finished product of a pistol I started for a friend at Ft. Benning, Ga before I de-mobilized. I got it back today from Metaloy and as usual Chris Peters did a great job with a quick turnaround time. EGW did the checkering and barrel fit and the quality was the usual top-notch job.

Excellent Chris! Do I see a career in the making?

Hi Al, thanks for the post. Actually now it's more of a hobby. I did 1911 work for about ten years at a retail gunshop in Michigan. But now without access to a mill, lathe etc. i'm somewhat limited in what I can do myself. Even while at the store our mill was just a benchtop model so I often sub-contracted to EGW since they had gunsmith pricing and quick turnaround, it worked out well for everyone.

Thanks Mark, that barrel assembly was provided and fit by Evolution Gun Works, the pictures are of pretty poor quality and don't do it justice but it looks great in person.
