Hi everybody. I'm new to this forum. I have a question regards 1911 70 series frames. I currently own a Colt Mk. IV/70 Series .45 ACP. Is the frame on this gun any different than one that would be used for a .38 Super/9x23? Could this frame be used for a .38 Super/9x23 combo gun? I suspect it cannot, but I really do not know. Any help is appreciated.

BTW, if this question constitutes a "how to" question per Mr. Yosts direction in the posting rules then I will delete this message and issue my profound apology.

Welcome to the KlubHowse, Ezra.

The frame is the same for all. Feed ramps are a bit different, but nothing insurmountable.
