Our good friend John underwent back surgery yesterday. From what I understand, it was a long and involved operation.

John is truly one of the good guys, and does a lot for the group here. We wish him a speedy recovery so he can get out and shoot again!

Absolutely. John is a great friend and treats people better than most. He is a class act, and we are looking forward to a speedy recovery and an appearance at the SHOT Shot.

John,

I don't know you but, I can tell from the crowd you run with you're a stand up guy. Take it from one who has had major surgeries in the past. Keep the faith and you will mend soon.

My thoughts will be with you and get better so you can keep an eye on Ted,Steve and Lew for me.

Gary

I had the chance to talk to John briefly this evening. He is in a ton of pain, but the surgery went well. When I think of Ti and high speed alloys, I think of custom guns, not components they are going to fuse to my spine. John is a tough son of a bitch.

Sure glad you are doing well John!

Good luck to him!
I know he's been worked on before, and knew what was coming, but it still hurts. I'm sure it will be worthwhile.

When I had a couple of back surgeries last year, my father-in-law drove me to the follow-up. I think he found every inch of road construction on the 40 mile trip there. I hope Mr. Del Pinto misses out on that part!

Told you those hospital drugs were better than that stuff in the Evidence Room, John.

Glad you finally got in and got it done. Godspeed on your recovery.

I've only talked to John once or twice, but enjoyed the conversation. Like most Blue Suits, Johns a nice guy. Best of luck John - may your recovery be short and full.

Thanks for all of the sentiments, they are most appreciated. I am in still a great deal of pain, but the surgery went extremely well. I walked six blocks today and promptly passed out for 2 hours. It is very difficult for me to sit up and use the computer. The keyboard causes the most pain as it is difficult to move my arms. Hopefully, I will recover very quickly.

On another note, the City, despite authorizing the surgery and me providing them with two doctors notes taking me off of work, refuses to pay my Injured on Duty pay. So another hassel to work out. My attorney is on top of it. The City has screwed me around for almost 11 months, I got an attorney five months ago and the City is still are as incompetent as ever. I dont know what pains me more, the surgery recovery or having to deal with such miserly and vindictive Work Comp people. Okay, to break away, blood pressure going up, hyperventilating causing extreme back pain...... THanks for all of your prayers.

Um, I don't think the Docs meant for you to walk to the saloon, John..... :?

Glad to hear the surgery went good. Heal well.
