I just purchased a colt officers model from a site member who had wilson do a stealth sds build on it The gun is super nice tight and functions without a hiccup of any kind. The problem I have is its a little to short in the grip for me to get a firm hold. Would a mag well help and who would do this.( I know most smiths wont work on guns already done by others)Or would I be better off selling/trading and go for a commander?

I too find the Officers model grip to be too short, so I added this Smith & Alexander mag shute to my Wilson CQB and like the feel (and looks) very much. You certainly don't need a smith to install it. Just order one from Brownells or Goggle them anbd order direct. About $75.00. It will solve your problem. If not, sell me the gun.

Heres the rub. To properly install a magwell of any kind it must be blended to the frame which will cut through your hard chrome and require removal of the chrome ($50) and rechroming ($100) + shipping back and forth from the plater ($75). That isn't including the cost of the magwell($65), fitting ($75) and shipping to and fro your gunsmith($75).

Unless you want a $500 magwell :( , you should just sell that gun to me! LOL :P

Well, thats a bit of an over statement I think. Blending is nice but in my experience, unneccesary.

Me thinks Anthony just lusts after your gun.

If you want to add a magwell you can just "drop on in". If you want to do it right, you should send it to Wilson's and have it blended :)

Sell the pistol or put a finger hook extension on the magazine.

My daily carry gun is a Colt Enhanced Officers ACP in high polished stainless. It has been reworked by Wilson Combat for mechanicals and Marianne Carnick for checkering... and bling.

I added a Wilson mag. well which is polished to a mirror finish like the rest of the gun.... is it blended??? No.... But

I have white Colt logo ivory look alike grips on it (from Ajax).... which I trimmed to fit flush with the mag. well.

Does it look great and function perfect???? Yes!!!!
