Mods I have not posted here much so move this to appropriate place if it doesn't belong here. Hope this is ok.

Kevin Hillhouse, a former Nighthawk Custom employee had just moved to Greensburg, Kansas just a week ago. His house and all was destroyed in the tornado last Saturday night. He is alright but lost house and everything. I and some others that know him and worked with him at both Nighthawk and at Wilsons are thinking about getting a fund together for him to buy clothes, pay bills, etc. I had the idea of building a gun to raffle for him.
Wanted to let all know so if things come together, people can help out with this. Once we decide what we are going to do, it will most likely be posted here and on http://www.originalmetaloy.com Stayed tuned and thanks for looking.

Just found this. This is a link to a pic of Kevin, his wife, girls and all that is left.

Chris,

I'm in for either a contribution, raffle, or whatever you decide is best for Kevin and his family. In the meantime, Kevin, his family, and all the other victims are in my prayers.

John

Update

I am putting a donation button on the Metaloy website for anyone to make a donation to Kevin Hillhouse in light of the tornado damage he and his family suffered in the Greesnburg tornado.

Go to http://www.originalmetaloy.com Click on Kevin Hillhouse Tornado Fund and donate. Very easy. It should be up and working later today.
Thank you all for your help.

Attention! Attention!!
I discovered that I cannot remove the automatic shipping charges that my account applies even when making a donation. If you donate $50.00, it adds $7.00 to the total. I wanted eveyone to know this ahead of time and keep it on the up & up. Thank for your support on this.

Update 5/15/07

I spoke with Kevin last night. He is doing well and in good spirits. He wanted me to thank all who have donated money. He was very impressed and appreciative. I told him I would post and let all know.

We have had good success with donations coming in on the Metaloy website. Some rather large donations I might add. Keep them coming if you can. If you have not given yet, please do. Thank you all.

Update 5/19/07

I continue to thank everyone for the donations that are coming in. I am trying to thank everyone individually as they come in. Unfortunately on Monday lightning hit my PC and yes it is toast. I have a loner PC at the moment and am back on line and emails.

I am paying out some of the money you all have sent to Kevin next week so he can get some much needed things. Also he spoke of a church group that has contacted him to come and build him a new garage/shop in Greensburg. They said they can build it in two days. Kevin also said that he was very impressed with how the Red Cross had responded up there.

I will keep you updated as the info. comes in. Again thank you all for your help and generosity.

Chris, you're a good guy.

Sometimes clash flow around here is like a glacier.... of molasses in January..... :? ...... with the brakes on  ......but I was finally able to break off a small chunk for this worthy cause.

These little things add up to help make one keep one's hopes up for the human race.
