Alaska Gun would like to take this moment to introduce our business: Alaska Gun is a brick and mortar Custom/Semi Custom 1911 and Custom/Semi Custom Knife Store located in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. 61 degrees, 13 Minutes North, 149 degrees, 54 Minutes West. Simply put, we only like the best and we sell only what we like. You'll find nothing but the best of the best from the top makers in the firearm's and knife industries, here, at Alaska Gun. We've had orders in for years with top makers in both industries and our efforts of pursuing the best in both classes is finally paying off--we have great standing relationships with the top smiths and grinders in the business and we're able to offer their products for sale, at fair prices, to our customers. We've been a brick and mortar retail store since 2002 and have been actively involved in the industry since 1994. In truth, we've been doing this our whole lives it's just that it's taken that long to turn it into a profession. Stocking an inventory of the best is actually a dual edged sword. In truth, items which fall under that description naturally sell themselves and yet, at the same time, we're nontheless whole heartedly commited to providing our customers with value and service worthy of the goods we stock and sell.

Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to introduce ourselves and we hope to have the opportunity to be of service to you in the near future.

My name is William Jerald Jury III: I got my first gun and my first knife a long time ago and I've been in love with everything to do with them ever since.

I didn't study when I was in Secondary School but rather I sang and ski raced. I had decided a long time ago that I wanted to make a living skiing and thus had went at that wholeheartedly. To make a long story short, I twisted my knee and decided to go to University. I've lived in Japan, and Seattle and California and have a BA and an MA in philosophy with a concentration in what is called Analytic Philosophy

I moved back to Anchorage with my wife in 2003 and started piloting what at that time had just freshly been re-named from the previous The Gun Cache to, the current, Alaska Gun. It was my father who noticed the need for a change when at out of state shows he discovered that we were constantly referred to as The Gun Cache' If you feel me you know that the way we pronounce it up here sounds the same as if we'd said, 'cash'--as in the 'The Gun Cash'. My dad couldn't hang with the 'cache'' thing, he conceived Alaska Gun, and, we've been marching along steadily ever since.

The real definitive moment came when we knew we had to get bigger--it was the only way to keep track of everything. Getting bigger, however, didn't mean filling the walls with just any ole x, y, z. We needed to represent what we felt was worth buying, i.e., using, fondling and/or simply staring at, leaving posterity to decide.

Welcome from OK, too. You must have been in line for quite awhile to get what I've seen in your inventory. Very impressive! Good luck with your business.

Bill brought this thread to my attention and so I felt I should introduce myself. I'm Bryan Schellenger of Alaska Gun. Currently, I'm somewhat behind the scenes and strive as hard as Bill to bring the industries finest to our customers as we don't believe in sacrificing quality over quantity. As the old saying goes, "When you buy quality, you'll only cry once".

Been with Alaska Gun coming up on a year this July. Aside from work, I sleep and fish. Enjoying Alaska, which has been my residence since Sept. of 2001, and will remain here till I close my eyes on Earth. Till that time, I'll be taking every opportunity to enjoy and discover the fine things this industry has to offer.

Glad to be a part of this community and look forward to what the future holds 8)

Welcome guys... glad to see you here.

To echo what C.T. said, deal with confidence when shopping with Bill and his crew at Alaska Gun. They are stand up all the way, have a passion about fine weaponry, and take pride and joy in helping others attain pieces from their selective and exclusive inventory. We have enjoyed our relationship with the Bill and Bryan at the shop and look forward to helping them provide their clients with some of the finest pieces our industry has to offer.

It'll be good to see you here--at the shop and in God's Country! Getting out in Alaska is like no other place I've been. You can be 100 yards off the road side and get lost or loose your life, or find it for that matter.
