I have big hands and Ive always found the 1911 to be just a bit short to be comfortable. Does anyone make a frame thats just a bit longer? Ive seen the Caspian with the built in magwell at the bottom, would that have more room for my paws? Thanks much! -c

Even if you had a frame built up to be longer than a standard 1911 with a magwell, you'd still be stuck with finding mags that would fit.

Have you handled a 1911 with a magwell? You'd have to have some pretty huge mits to engulf the whole shebang.

Maybe you could have a super-sized mag well welded on and use ten round mags. My question is if a full sized 1911 feels small to you what pistol feels right?(Seriously.)

Tha's just what I whas thinking off, that way your 1911 grip will stretch a full inch.

Thare´s the idea, now you need someone to materialize it, and we woul like to see a lot of pics.

and I think 1/2 would probably do it. The best fitting gun for my hand so far has been a XD .45 Tac with a bar-sto magwell. I'd love to build up an STI framed gun and even went so far as to buy a frame but even with the magwell there wasnt enough space for my fingers to fit well. Just a bit short, story of my life! Does anyone have experience with the Caspian frame with the built in magwell?

I've got a Nighthawk Custom Vickers Tactical that uses the Caspian integral magwell. It adds less than 1/4" in length.

It won't help you much .... :(
