I had this posted under the revolver thread but I thought I would share it over here.

Hamilton Bowen did a Light Weight conversion on my Colt SAA. Roy Fishpaw did the stocks and then Thad did a IWB rig to be worn at a wedding.

There are more photos of this pistol on the revolver thread. It is a custom LW Colt SAA done by Hamilton Bowen.

The stocks are made from select French Walnut. They were not cheap but worth it on this gun.

Just goes to show that it "ain't" got to be a 1911 to be beautiful. It was a different feeling to carry a SAA concealed.

Guys,

Jason B. just could not bring himself to post on this one so he sent me a PM talking about how cool he thought this was. I guess he credibility would be damaged as a 1911 mechanic if he expressed admiration for a SAA.

Seriously though... that holster and revolver combo awesome... and much too good for someone the likes of me. I’m glad they’re yours my friend ‘cause I’d feel guilty just owning them. :wink:
