For those of you that don't read American Handgunner. The current issue features a custom 1911 by Bob Rodgers and Chuck Rogers. Their artistry is there for all to see, and I have never known two finer men. The gun is more then I could have ever hoped for, and is truly one of a kind.
ETA: I have had a couple of questions about the "mark" on the rear of the slide by the ejector. It is just some oil that didn't get wiped off before the picture was taken. The machine work is FLAWLESS.
Here's a few pics that aren't in the magazine.

Spectacular!

More words would simply detract from, not add to, that characterization.

THAT is one of a kind, no doubt.

I have got to tell you that I really don't think there is one thing that was not perfectly executed. Absolutely stunning!

I saw your gun in AH and thought it was a absolute one of a kind special. Handled and crafted by two masters it should serve you well. Congrats! Oh and your story in AH was a very enjoyable read. Take care.

This is way cool, just stunning. Congratulations!

I'd think that the experience of ownership would be incomplete without a knowledge of exact number of golfball dimples on this gun :D ...

When I read the article I was wondering how something this cool had been made without any pictures ending up on this site. Awesome stuff! Enjoy it.

I've seen a lot of Chuck's work, and a little of Bob Rodgers' work, and I have to say it's pretty hard to tell where Rogers ends and Rodgers begins.

I hope that doesn't ruffle any Rogers/Rodgers feathers - it's meant as a compliment. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Bob has chosen whom to flatter wisely, and has done so in style.

What a beaut! It isn't often I see a 1911 that is so very different from others but this is one of those!

PM sent.

What a great concept. How do those guys come up with that stuff? That's one of the coolest builds I've ever seen.

Paladin, beautiful .45 by Bob and Chuck. I haven't been on the forums lately as I've had other priorities and interests taking up a majority of my free time. Spoke to Bob today and he had mentioned your pistol and I rushed to the nearest newstand to pick up the Jan/Feb 08 issue of AH. Absolutely beautiful machine work! Congrats Bob and Chuck for another kick ass collaboration. :D

Stan

Its made by Josh Bulman, one of the best in the business. Many think he is the best. Shoot well.

That is really sweet! Very impressive use of the "golf ball" texturing effect. Not only does this appear to be flawless in execution, but it is very creative as well!

Yes, Josh trimmed it in black shark.

Very nice, what do you think of it, it looks fast but not very concealable- is that correct?

That is correct. I like it a lot. It's for the range, not ccw.

A gun by two of the best and a holster by one of the best.

Not bad!

I gawked at this piece when I saw it in the magazine and it looks even better here with the Bulman rig. It is amazing how a select few can pull the sublime from such a practical piece of machinery. This pistol and many of the others on this forum are works of art, pure and honest.
