Again, Bob's work has me in awe.
I love the ejection port lowering and flare, for a "basic" millspec weapon, the lines are crisp and yet soft-- the finish is just the right shade, and adds to the classic appeal. Given a few years, a couple thousand rounds, and a natural holster patina and you've the makings of a real classic.
Congrats-- Bob's a good man, great smith, and a helluva friend-- I'd be proud to holster his steel any given day of the week.

Very nice, really like how the entire front strap area looks. So has the entire front strap been reduced to leave the bulge at the base, can't really tell by the pictures. Fine work.

It's a standard installation of the Heinie magwell. I'll see if I can post another pic that shows the checkering and magwell better.

What type of finish is that? And is that anormal size gold dot or an exta large?
