Just finished up this last one out of a batch of five. I promised a few photos as a teaser to this guns owner before it gets sent home tomorrow.

This one is a pretty standard package that I have been doing recently.

Dehorn and light glass bead finish on stainless
Action tune with spring kit
Modified sighting channel
Replace & contour front sight with custom pinned in blade
24K gold line installed in front sight
Radius & contour trigger
Hard chrome trigger & hammer (including shipping)
Blue front sight
Chamfer cylinder mouth
Re-cut & lap Forcing cone
Test fire & zero (Speer Gold Dot S.B. .38 +P)
Fit customer supplied Spegel grips

Here in Phoenix with the HOT!!!!!! summers we have, I often found myself carrying a J Frame vs. a larger gun. I know you guys know the feeling about wanting something you can always carry, but yet cover with a t-shirt.

Well this is what came of that, since I loved the J-Frame, but hated the sights and action.

The time came to redo the rear sight channel so that it was actually deep enough and wide enough to use. That then exposed the weakness of a front sight which didn't grab the eye. So it was replaced with a sight blade that I made and then installed the gold line in.

Action work cleans up the trigger to something which is now very useable and smooth.

Accuracy & ease of cleaning is enhanced by redoing the forcing cone.

A nice tasteful dehorn gets rid of all the sharp edges, making your hands and holster happy.

The trigger face is reshaped to improve feel of the trigger in your hand and how the action feels when shooting.

I hope you guys enjoy.

Best,

Ray

I had Wayne Novak build me one when they first hit the scene, but foolishly let it
go.... :(

Once again, thanks for the nice comments on the work guys. Her owner should be receiving this one today.

Ted - My eyes aren't as old as yours yet. :D I do appreciate a good working set of sights though. I wonder who taught me that.

Best,

Ray

Great job Ray. I'm glad the j-frames are finally getting a little exposure on LTW. It ain't all about Hi Powers & 1911's.

We may have to do some business in the future.
