Knice work Ned!. The whole thing--while black--pops big time. Love the black Simonich Gunner Grips with the "C". Ahh, I mean, I love the black Gunner Grips along side the Conamyds. Is this the "green with envy smiley?"

Ned,
I've been over and over these pictures several times in the last few days. Every time I think I've picked it all out I see something else. Do you have any idea how rewarding that is? You give the trained eye rewards for looking, studying and then looking again. Absolutely amazing, I love the trigger. It looks like it's going 100mph and right at home amidship. That light stippling on the edges of the slide safety and release, nice. Matching grooves on the front of the rear sight. Over the top functional. Really, How do you think of this stuff? A front sight you can see in a cave with your eyes closed, shooting groups you can cover with a coffee mug. I must say, I think the grips are a perfect contrast/compliment to the conamyds.
I wish I could come up with some constructive criticism or a suggestion but, I have nothing. Great Work, Again, As Always!

Phil

Here's some detail on that herringbone serration pattern. I've done several like this but all a little different. After I finished this one I said "I gotta stop doing those. That took all day and it would been real easy to mess it up". Later I went back to my notes on the last one I did. They said
"Dont' do this again, takes too long and it would been real easy to mess it up".

Phil, thanks. Give you any ideas?

Athame, I kinda wish I'd done the Conamyds on this one something like I did on yours, but..... sofar yours is unique....

Yes, several ideas but, many for another gun. I like the rail and the way you attach it with larger screws. Might be a good mounting platform for attaching a set of barricade wings. That would keep it from becoming a dedicated cup gun. I know they aren't mounted that way but, a set could be made or modified.........

Ned,

when you wrote that mine was unique, in terms of the Conamyds, were you refering to the polish?

Ned

This is so way out there! The detail and treatments are so amazing, your work is by no means stagnating,
its getting better every build - builds like this prove over and over again, youre really raising the bar!

Keep up the great work Ned, you rock Sir!

Ned that thing is beautiful and business-like... And you just unknowingly TOTALLY solved a rear sight problem I've been having on an Officer's Model... :D

That's just too cool...

Well-- my Shield Driver sight will be available at some point-- working my way toward getting some on the shelf....probably still months away though. I have a few here but they're for builds.

Oh, I totally understand... I have an Officer's here that had the original factory dovetail cut deeper and I really didn't want to weld it up or swage it... Your LOOONNNNGGGG dovetail would alleviate that and allow some other functionality. All I can say is that's a beautiful gun and it simultaneously gave me ideas which is what I love about this place and its artists.

PS: Drop me a PM or a call and I'll cryo-treat some of those extractors for you... ;)

Here's another rib I did, I think about 5 years ago. Not the best pic, but it was definitely another "fraught with danger" operation, putting it on.....

That is by far the best looking intergral magwell I have ever seen. It something you make from scratch or buy then weld? If you make them do you sell just the magwell?

I make them from scratch-- one at a time. Sorry to say they are not available separately.

But I'll probably be doing fewer of them in the future and using Stan Chen's magwells.

Gladja like it, thanks!

That is one gaud'awful lookin' blaster. All you guys do is turn out guns that look like that Picaso dude drew while on a bender. The only decent guns are by that 12 year old apprentice Jason. When he grows up, the rest of ya better watch your checkbooks.

Seriously, a great duty gun that happens to look like a million bucks. My envy to the owner and awe to the builder. I can't stop looking at it. It is just beautiful! Ned, you are the master!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic work Ned, someone is one lucky person. I really don't know what can be improved on, that is the complete package.
