Mark you are being bad again.

I can't believe that you are torturing poor Jason that way.

Yea, I'm getting my kicks outta torturing Jason :)

Seriously, I've wanted to get photos of this revolver from the first day I saw it. I don't own it... A friend does.

It's one of the nicest "production" guns I have ever seen. They don't make 'em like that anymore :D

It is nice. You have to love that hi polish.

P.S.: You can claim another victory relative to your "friends don't let friends carry Glocks" saying. My last one is now gone.

When it's something that nice I don't mind being tortured one bit!! The owner of that gun is a lucky man.

"Nice" is the understatement of the month, maybe the year. It's so "nice" it's almost hard to tell if it's blue or nickle, it's so shiny.

Thanks for sharing it.

Very nice! Really like the 4" barrel.

I have a 6" model 27 in just about perfect condition. They just don't make guns like that anymore. I really like the checkering on the top strap and barrel rib.

Gorgeous :D I am a huge Smith wheelgun fan when I am not collecting 1911's. Been on the lookout for a M27 like that for some time but damn near impossible to find here in the PRK :(

WHAT a thing of beauty!!! If only we could talk S&W into bringing it back WITHOUT that asinine "lawyer lock" built into the works!!!

How about some pictures of it and maybe in the background a couple of your knives. I have heard your D2 knives are some of the best.

Gorgeous revolver - lovely bluing, checkering on top (does ANYONE do this anymore on revolvers?), and I've always thought that the 3-1/2 Model 27 had some of the handsomest lines in the entire S&W portfolio. Never did much care for the stocks, though (don't they call those Magna?).

First centerfire handgun I owned (and still do) was a Model 19 with a four inch barrel that I bought in Scottsdale, AZ in 1971 for the princely sum of $135 brand spanking new in the blue box.

Gman is so right - they don't make 'em like that anymore!

My second centerfire handgun, bought a year later after I joined the Army was a Series 70 Government Model .45ACP. That's when the trouble REALLY started.....pictures to follow when she comes back from the latest round of work by an APG smith.

If you had a pretty worn out pre-27, would you ever restore it back to its original beauty (like this one) with someone like Doug Turnbull or just keep it original?
