Just wanted to share my beauty from Heirloom Precision. I've had it about 2 months now,
carry it daily and have sent 800 round down range with out a flaw. I just love it. I had a couple
of things I wanted and then Ted did his magic and it is magic.

I hope you enjoy the pics..

Beautiful Commander. Nicely done.
safd, the makers mark on my HP Colt is under the right grip panel.

Man, that is a beautiful Commander... great planning and brilliant execution. Those guys at Heirloom are just smoking hot. Love the background leather too.

Thanks everyone I knew y'all would appreciate it.

safd, Ted's signature is under the right grip panel.

DHRoss, that's Jason's leather. It travels very nicely in a IBS from John
Ralston at 5 Shot Leather.. Highly recommended..

Happy Trails.... Walt.....

Actually, this time it's Ted's leather! Since I built the gun exactly as I would have done my own (and have :D ), Jason suggested we use some of my leather for a change. I picked my new Alessi set.

Thanks for the opportunity, Walt. I'm glad you're pleased with the Commander.

Ted, you are certainly welcome for the opportunity and to say I'm pleased is a dramatic understatement. I have had and still have many things and situations in my life that I'm very satisfied with but this piece is in a place all it's own. It flat makes me happy... Best to you..

Walt..

WHEW!! What a 1911!! That is just gorgeous.

Congrats on making us all jealous..

Seriously though, they just don't get much better than that. The Commander is my favorite and I often think of trading into a blued Commander so I can have one similar to yours, in LOOKS only though as I can't afford something that nice.

Thanks for posting it so we all can enjoy it.

Ya Know, back when I had my "unfortunate environmnetal occurrence" and had to sell my collection, my original Yost Gunsite custom built on a lightweight S.A. government was one that I regret to this day letting go. Seeing this HP LWT Commander (over and over) has made me realize what I have missed in being able to carry a lightweight 1911. Now that I am ehemm, older, that weight reduction is even more of a blessing when combined the beauty and craftsmanship of a gun like this one.

Walt, congrats sir. I envy you. My best to you and your new friend.

Nala, it was not my intent to make any one jealous  I must admit that I have few hobbies, work all the
time and have a very understanding and indulging wife or this would still be on my want list. I am truly Blessed in oh so many ways.

I agree it doesn't get much better than this!! Happy trails.. Walt...

Hello Al, Thank you for the kind words. I qualify for Social Security so I certainly do relate to the weight
reduction. Being a civilian and trying to stay "concealed" all the time is challanging but "my friend" makes
it easy. I truly enjoy this beauty.

I hadn't shot a 45 for about 3 years, got hooked on Ted's BHPs, but this piece shoots like a dream. Makes me look pretty good at the firing line :) It's not just purdy!!

Thanks again and best to you also.. Walt...
