I couldn't let the Machine Heads have all the fun....so here is a bit of what you can see at the show (Sorry guys, no time for Photo Lighting and fancy backdrops).

To say that the shop (Garage) has been over capacity for the last 3 days would be a huge understatement! I have been busting my rear to get it all ready to go, and I think this is about all that can be completed in time (although I am going to try and get a nice IBS with Elephant trim done in time to add to the Raffle).

Enjoy

Oh my God!!! I see some fancy new leather in my future!

I couldn't agree more with what my pal Steve commented and I'm looking forward to catching up at SHOT.

John,

I´m still at the hospital waiting for my Dr last word... I should know for sure by tomorrow noon but I´m feeling great so far, just worried about not been able to be standing or walking the halls as I like.

I feel confident about been released but I´m crossing finger now so well see... :?

John:
Didn't ask you to scratch your rear or to play with props (is that some sort of sexual thing you do?) We just wanted to see a couple of close ups.

Alex:
I didn't know you were sick. I sure hope you're feeling better.

That is a first attempt prototype for Sammy Reese (he writes the Carry Options column in American Handgunner). After he gets to thrash on it a little bit we can see what changes need to be made and then we make a final version.

Hmmm, let's see now...

Let me be first to say that if you wind up with any "spares" after the show, I CALL FIRST DIBS!

How's that for an accolade?

Cheers,
ArtCrafter

PS: Being the optimist I am - and to help you with any future deliberations on the matter - I should add that I would be especially pleased with any "spare" IBS rig for a BHP 9mm or Commander. With matching mag carrier of course. :D

Not like I have time for this right now, but.......here goes.

This is the set I made for Steve Bailey's engraved gun & knife combo. It was kind of a last minute deal, and he didn't have time to send me the knife, so I made one from plywood and kydex, using a template that he faxed me....hope it fits  !

It is a CBS in Russet Brown with Black Elephant Trim, and SSPC Mag Pouch and Custom Knife Sheath....

Hey John:
I stand corrected! While you were mentioned in the new American Handgunner by Clint Smith, it was the article by Smith in the new issue of Guns that was most complimentary (that's the one I was thinking of). So....congratulations on both!

Much nicer photos above BTW.

I just have to say that the leather rig that John did for the engraved gun was simply perfect. The color, craftmanship, and detail was second to none. It was a big hit at the show and I am looking forward to doing a project like that again. Thanks again John, you are awesome.

Talk about happy endings.

John's leather was fantastic in person.

Alex Nossar's doctor gave him a guarded go-ahead to quit bed for a week and go to SHOT.

Clint Smith stopped by to chat with John and I butted in to introduce myself. I hadn't met Clint before and honestly the guy in front of me that morning was such an unassuming gentleman that I doubted a few times if it was indeed the most photographed man in the gun magazines (Sweeney and I actually went through a few magazines this summer and I think in one, between articles and ads we counted 18 Clint images!).

Ned got olfactory gratification of two distinct but equally pleasing types. Like, every time somebody asked to see one. Open display case, smell holster, hand over to requestor. Take hoster back, sniff again, return to display case. Happy nose!

Just for you Ned, I will send out my latest creation.....5 Shot Leather Car Fresheners. Gives the inside of your car the same smell as your holster drawer
