I have not had any experience with Bob's holsters, but I have owned a couple belts from him. He has some terrific stamping and designs available, and a really nice feature of his belts is that, while they are double thick leather most of the way around, when the tongue comes around he thins it down to single thickness so it is not too bulky, just looks like a regular belt up front. Unfortunately, I ordered the belts a bit too small, then "grew out" of what slack I had, but I still really like them. He has some nice color combinations too, I really have my eye on his "Sunburst".
I have not had any experience with his holsters, they certainly are not boned as mush as we are normally used to, and I do not know about the retention.
I ordered my belts when he was still located in BC, Canada. He was a super nice guy and invited me to drop by his shop if I was ever up there, but I never got the chance.
I have no vested interest in pushing his offerings, other than to promote a guy who, like so many others in the trade, is just a super guy to deal with.
Here is his Sunburst:
Belts page, which shows the stamping/carving he has available:

He also makes cowboy rigs, kid's cowboy rigs, "Hollywood Auto" rigs which look like they would be good field setups...he really has a broad range of offerings.
Does anyone have any of his gear? I did a search but found nothing.
