Why the hole in the slide below the muzzle?

Drain hole?

Every time I see one of their Hi-Powers I die a little bit inside because I don't have one. I do love the Chris Reeve knife in the picture. I wonder which is more effective? :D :D

SRT pictured appears to be built on a MKII BHP. You are correct, the hole in the slide is presumabluy a drain hole.

Best regards,

SRT

I was shooting the other day, and I couldn't get a decent group out of my Model 17 Smith. So I grabbed the P35 and at fifteen yards I quickly fired sixteen rounds of hardball into a group I could cover with my fist. By quickly I mean .50 splits.

This gun makes me look good.

As the owner of one of Heirloom Precision's SRT Brownings, and noting the above post by SRT, I certainly would like to know the history behind this package, and without giving away too much, who SRT is and how this package of modifications came to bear (his? her?) initials.

I recall reading somewhere these pistols were designed for a member(s) of a Special Response Team.

It's a basic Browning Hi-Power. I sent it to Heirloom Precision for their SRT package.

Jason took it from there. They do great work.
The second Hi-Power (SRT) is a FN Hi-Power done by Yost Custom, which I believe is now Heirloom Precision.

Here's my tribute to my SRT model I got last December: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=39&t=68073

This is an absolutely beautiful pistol and I have already enjoyed it a lot. Almost everything else is languishing in the safe.
