A Blackside with Golfballs.

OMG, and I don't mean Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

Only in Arizona! They still don't allow that here in the Great Lakes State.

Nice stuff Brother Chuck......

PS, what's the story on the badge? And, hope you didn't defile any state heritage sites for the background wood....

:D
The pistol stand is made fron Cedar aka Juniper to us Zonies. It's cut in the shape of my state and the mini-golfball marks Prescott Valley, the home base of most of my hi-jinks.
A gift from a future customer!
The background wood is a donkey saddle brace circa 1900. I bought it at the local swap meet for $5 just for occasions such as this.
The badge? Well, I spend enough time in Paulden that I was deputized by the local militia.
You see a lot of these at the annual Gunsite GAS match.

My AR15 is finally achieving that 'seasoned' look! Another 10k rds and mebbe I'll introduce it to a car wash.
:?

I don't know how the AR15 got the reputation as being finicky? I cleaned the bolt and bolt carrier for the 2nd time ever, earlier this month. Ruined 4 large shop towels and a pair of jeans in doing so. It just keeps on ticking.

The tall Tier One sight is something special to see, and that Gemtech can looks to be the size of Mickey Mantle's favorite Louisville Slugger.

Very sweet looking pistol, Chuck, as usual.

Let the raccoons tremble at Steve's approach....

WoW. Nice. I still prefer mine. And the AR I keep in the squad car has yet to have an issue other than the so called "operator" at times.

Very cool! I really like the golfballing on the can.

I've got a Noveske that hasn't been cleaned since before a Thunder Ranch Urban Rifle course that I took in TX in Feb in rain and mud and it's still running like a champ.

Now that's how a rifle is supposed to look! And the 1911...well that's just a work of art right there.

I love it Chuck. Fantastic work...a golfballed can!

All those pics just put an unexplainable smile on my face. Reminds me why I love living out West. God bless.

Thanks for the nice comments!
BUT............I did not golfball the can. The texture on the Neilsen Device (linear inertial decoupler) was done by Gemtech.

Here's a few more pics:

I received the package from Chuck this morning. Unfortunately, I'm heading on a road trip and won't be back until Labor Day to get it to the range.

I can't get the smile off my face. The work is beautiful to the eye as well as the hands. The craftsmanship exhibited by those at the top of this profession continues to amaze me.

Even though this was not a full custom build, it is a very special project for me and am appreciative of the efforts put into it.

Thanks to all those that helped make it a reality.

Stealthy cool and all business!

I really need to get a dedicated 1911 for a can. I have always been reluctant due to the inherrint troubles in quieting down a .45 (that is a big hole in the end of that can and lets out lots o' gas).

Is that your Blackside Chuck? Do you have many rounds though it? Are you happy with the function and sound?

Chuck, what a beautiful pairing of pistol and suppressor. I was happy with my setup...until I saw this one. :(

This may be a dumb question or one that is answered elsewhere. But, are these tall Tier One sights for sale? I really need a set on a similar Kimber classic custom with suppressor.

Again, beautiful work.

Rob

I prefer to reserve my Tier One rear sights for my full-house builds as that is the only way I can justify the associated expense.
As I have revealed previously, they are fabricated in VERY small quantities, built to specific dimensions, on a manual mill.
But.......I also love to play with NFA.
So if you catch my interest and if you view these tall sights as a custom fabricated project, I'll try to help.
Sorry to be so non-descript.
:)

Hey Chuck, that looks awesome. does the mag release have little golfballs on it too? Looks awesome. Did you pic the gemtech can because of the golfballing they did or was it a coincidence?

Cheers, N
