It’s no secret that since our inception, LTW annually donates some serious money to worthy organizations. What’s not as widely known is the ‘behind the scenes’ efforts that it takes to be able to accomplish such tasks.

For example, operational expenses continue to grow annually. So each year, various LTW board members team up with each other to produce a few truly one of a kind collaboration customs that we in turn sell to help offset some of the costs of our organization.

This year I was pleased to be paired with our two newest BOD members, Dave Erickson of Condition One Pistolsmithing and John Ralston of 5 Shot Gunleather.

After quite a bit of conferencing, Dave and I decided to build our collaboration custom starting with a NIB Colt Series 70 Government model in stainless steel. I’ll let the pictures below tell the story. From the tip of the sterling crown on the muzzle of the match grade barrel to the bottom of the genuine ivory grips, this piece has got it all – and then some more.

John Ralston wasn’t just waiting in the wings either. Included with this 'one time only' build is John’s model CP holster, magazine pouch, and a certificate for the proper size belt, all in black with matching sharkskin trim.

This rev gun package is for sale with immediate delivery. Head on over to the 'Firearms For Sale' area.

Love that checkering on the top of the slide, is that 30 or 40 down the middle?

Man, there's something so right about a nice stainless pistol wearing ivories. Details everywhere, too.
The tuned rail setup as seen from the grip angle really gets my pulse going.

Very, very nice, Gentlemen!

WOW, that is a stunning build CT and Dave!

Beyond the obvious craftsmanship, it's one of the best examples I've seen of a "theme" running through a build; done just enough to show the creativity and artistry involved in a tasteful way, but far from being over done. I'll bet there must have been a bunch of back and forth collaboration between CT and Dave. Bravo! :D

Well....after seeing the pics of the gun that CT and Dave put together, I scrapped the rig I was working on and went back to the secret lair.

Shark would be nice, but I felt that Pachyderm would be a better fit with those beautiful ivories.

Sorry for the curve ball CT & Dave

Pics up soon.

Clean and elegant. Someone's going to be very lucky to have both the gun and leather.
