Just got this one back from blueing. Government model from my birth year that was probably a bullseye gun in its past. Made a few cosmetic changes to it.

I must have been a pimp in a previous life. I love engraving with Ivory.

Pimps go for pearl, gentlemen go for ivory.

Gary, Who did the engraving, also who was the 'smith that did the other work and installed the Dlask trigger? Very nice BBQ gun. I have a 1968 National Match that I have plans on becoming my "Sunday go to meetin', gun".

The engraver is Bill Lowther in Midwest City Ok. He has done about 5 for me. He is reasonable and a great guy. Retired and works from home.

Not sure who did the original bullseye treatment. I bought it on GB from a dealer who had it listed as a series 70. I could make out the SN which is th eonly reason I bought it. Slide feels like glass when you rack it. We put the Dlask, commander hammer, Swenson safety, and fit and blended the EGW flat serrated MSH.

I really like the combo of a well done blued finish with ivories on the older Colt pistols. Very nice. The Bullseye features also add to the feel. I would love something like it in my holster.
