It’s been a while since I’ve posted any of my work so here is a custom Browning Hi-Power I just shipped out. This one was just too nice to let out the door without snapping a few quick photos. Most of the work included:
• Tightened slide/frame fit
• Carry grade trigger job with Cylinder & Slide hammer/sear
• Rounded the stock trigger face
• Cylinder & Slide ambi magazine release
• Cylinder & Slide ambi thumb safety
• Serrated top and rear of slide
• Stippled front and back straps
• Extended rear beavertail
• Novak tritium sights
• Entire pistol dehorned
• GunKote semi-gloss black finish
• Spegel wood grips

This customer unknowingly received the “lint on gun” option which you may notice in some of the photos. If the lint was still on the pistol when he received it, then I know I packaged it properly.
Thanks for looking!
Richard Fletcher

Very nice, Richard, and good to have you post again.

Is that beavertail longer than most? And..... tell us about the C&S ambi mag release-- I had never seen that before.

Top notch work there Richard.
Hard to beat a set of Craig Spegel Grips too.

Hello Everyone,

I think Richard did a beautiful job on this Hi Power for me. I am extremely pleased with how it looks and I think it is a fine testament to his skills as a pistolsmith. I will be shooting it for the first time later this week. I am sure that is probably capable of out shooting my current abilities. Richard was very easy to work with during this build and he always answered my e-mails promptly.

To those who are curious, yes, I am a lefty. Hence the ambi safety and mag release. This is the first pistol that I have owned with the ambi mag release. I am very interested to see just how it works out for me.

Thanks,
Eric

Beautiful Pistol you have there Eric, how about a range report when you're done?

Hello Mike,

Sure, I will post later this week after I have a chance to shoot my new pistol.

Thanks,
Eric

The beavertail could be longer than some; I didn't follow the Browning factory beavertail specifications.
The C&S ambi mag release uses sort of a toggle piece on the right side; you push down on it and it pulls the mag release out to drop the mag.

I need a custom hi-power addiction to add to my 1911 addiction like I need a whole in the head BUT work like that really makes me want to take that leap :)

Beautiful work.

Hello Everyone,

I shot my Hi Power for the first time earlier tonight. It digested 100 rounds of Independence 115gr. FMJ ammunition with no problems at all. The pistol functioned flawlessly, was accurate, and was a pleasure to shoot. The trigger was nice and crisp, the ambi safety worked as it should, and I feel the ambi mag release was a worthwhile option. I am very impressed with everything about the pistol. I am really looking forward to shooting it again next week.

Thanks to all for the compliments.

Richard, you did an excellent job on my Hi Power!

Thanks,
Eric
